A freelance artist with a Master’s degree in Fine Arts, proudly affiliated with the Canadian Artists Association and the American Portrait Society. My career spans teaching at various universities and creating works in graphic design and painting that have been celebrated through numerous professional exhibitions and awards. Over the past decade, I have immersed myself in exploring diverse painting techniques, leveraging my rich experience and exceptional professional skills to craft a versatile portfolio recognized by institutions and highly regarded by experts.

My artistic path began in 1994 when I graduated with honours from Henan University, where I later taught and received widespread acclaim from students. During this time, my design works earned provincial and national accolades, establishing a robust foundation for my creative journey. In 2001, I pursued a Master’s in Fine Arts at the Central University for Nationalities, specializing in graphic design. My graduate projects, such as City and Life and the Olympic-inspired posters Faster, Higher, Stronger, garnered national gold awards and special jury recognition, reflecting my ability to merge conceptual insight with striking visuals.

In 2008, I relocated to Canada, where I embraced North American culture and its diverse influences. This period inspired a series of pastel portraits capturing the region’s essence, complemented by watercolour, acrylic, and oil paintings of landscapes, animals, and floral themes. Through these works, I developed a distinctive style characterized by emotive depth and vibrant compositions that weave together cultural stories and personal expression.

Recent milestones underscore my artistic evolution:

• 2024: Acrylic works Spring Intent and Luck Dragon were selected for the Dragon Art Show, with Luck Dragon securing first place in the adult category; watercolour Defend the Yellow River received the Excellence Award at the Red Classics - First Xinghai Art Exhibition; oil painting South China's Beacon was featured in the Ideal Light - Guangzhou Red Years Art Exhibition.
• 2023: Watercolour Flight was selected for the Era’s Essence - 2023 Shenzhen International Ink Biennial; watercolour Flower Language earned the Bronze Award at the Second Guangzhou International Watercolour Exhibition.
• 2022: Oil painting Ancient Town Floating Colours won the Excellence Award at the Greater Bay Area Chinese Painting and Oil Painting Exhibition and was acquired by the Panyu Library; watercolour Red Lychee in Spring received the Bronze Award at the Third Datang Lixiang Art Exhibition.
• 2021: Pastel Cupping Flower Shadow was honoured with the Excellence Award at the First Guangzhou International Watercolour Exhibition.
• 2020: Oil painting Sky Road was showcased in the Seventh Guangdong Contemporary Oil Painting Exhibition; pastel Blue Wind Chime was selected for the Second Shenzhen International Watercolour Biennial.
• 2019: Pastel Spring Returns to Xilamuren was included in the 13th National Art Exhibition and recognized as a Beijing-selected work.

With extensive teaching experience and strong professional expertise, my art embodies a fusion of technical mastery and cultural narrative. My mission is to create works that resonate profoundly, inviting viewers to explore the interplay of tradition, modernity, and identity through a vivid and contemplative perspective.
